TECHNOLOGICAL FEATURES
(1)  Coking in wider carbonization chambers enables clean production and increases lumpiness and strength of the coke.
(2)  Pollutant generation is controlled throughout the whole process of coke production, instead of the old way of pollutant control at the end of process. By using technologies, such as coke oven negative-pressure operation and coal charging at stamping side etc., no fume or dust emission will occur during the whole process of coal charging, coking and coke pushing. All generated raw gas will be burnt out and transformed into heat energy to heat the coal cake and make it into coke. At the same time, the waste heat is used to heat the boiler to produce steam, which is used to drive the turbo generating units for power generation. And, after desulfurization and dedusting, the waste gas contains SO2≤100mg/Nm3 and dust≤30mg/Nm3, which is substantially permissible to clean production.
(3)  There is no complicated gas purification process, thus no harmful waste water produced, hence clean production and sustained development can be realized.
(4)  Mechanical stamping or hydraulic stamping is adopted. The hydraulic stamping machine has low noise and needs less maintenance.
(5)  The waste heat produced from coking can be totally used for power generation to realize comprehensive utilization of the resource.
(6)  Low coke melting rate (around 2%). The carbonization chamber and combustion chamber of the LRJ – 2000 coke oven are totally separated to reduce the rate of coke melting during the final period of coking maturation. It is reported that burnt loss at the end period of coking for other types of non-recovery coke ovens is around 5%, which is a great loss to a coking plant.
(7)  As per the features of the heat recovery coke oven and the conditions of local coal source, weakly caking coal can be blended into the coking coal, thus saving the resource of the coking coal and reducing the cost of coke production.
(8) Good utilization of thermal energy. The LRJ-2000 heat recovery coke oven has the advantages of modern recovery coke ovens that the carbonization and combusting chambers are completely separated, with a distance of only 100mm, and the heat produced (generated) from the gas burning can be utilized by the neighbored carbonization chambers, which can shorten coking time, increase coking uniformity and output as well.
(9)  Big coke size, high strength and high thermal stability, with M 25>93%,M10<6%,CSR65--68%.
(10) Less investment and short construction period. Since the LRJ-2000 coke oven adopts vertical type carbonization chambers, and technical improvements have been made on the structure of the oven body such as refractory bricks, iron members, oven machines and flues etc., the investment in capital construction has been saved a lot. As per the situation of the current markets, the investment (containing that for waste heat power generation) for the said coke oven is approx. 50%-60% of that for a horizontal heat recovery coke oven with the same capacity. The construction period is 10 months.
(11) Wider application of the technology. Thanks to the fact that the profile and the mechanical equipment of the LRJ-2000 are similar to modern chemical product recovery coke ovens, the existing recovery coke ovens that are going to be closed or  shut down due to their heavy pollution can be modified into LRJ-2000 heat recovery clean type coke ovens by simply revamping the oven bodies. All the utilities of such recovery coke ovens can be used for the LRJ-2000, hence much benefit can be obtained with just a little investment.
(12) Less in power consumption and easy in operation. No such power as steam or low temperature water is consumed during the production process, and the consumption of water and electricity is low. Its technological process is simple and hence it is easy to operate. Its equipment is light (small and exquisite) and the wear parts have long service life.
(13) There are less production process control points, for which it is easy to realize automatic control and regulation through computer.
(14). Less occupation of land area. A land area of only 350×450m2 is required for construction of a 0.5mtpa coking and power plant.
